Yea, Obama won! I'm so glad the win was appearant by 11PM so I could go to bed at a decent hour-I needs my beauty sleep.
Has anybody compared this time period to a wedding? It's as if the groom, the people of the United States, has chosen Obama as our intended bride, and now the bride will be scurrying to get the bridal party in place before Jan. 20th. I can't wait for the honeymoon to start. How long will it last? Where is he taking us first?
UPDATE: I just couldn't resist adding a snarky comment on Michelle Obama's choice of dress when the family came out for the victory speech. The red on black combo made me wince at first but I wasn't sure why. At least their daughters looked okay. When I looked at another image of it this morning, the family group photo was taken from further away and that's when I figured it out--the red pattern looks sorta like the markings of black widow spider! Obama, before you hire a chief of staff I suggest you start with a stylist for the First Lady. Snark over.

Loving the Endorphin Rush!
Today at work I received an email from upper management that just had me in stitches, ROTFLOL and all that comes with it (no wetting the underpants, but oh so close and no, it wasn't meant to be humorous). There's no way I can convey the funny that would make sense to anyone-even my coworkers-but as I was guffawing it occurred to me it's been way too long since I laughed like that. After I came to my senses, I felt that heightened sense of being alive, feeling like I could fly. Whatever is responsible for that surge, be it endorphins or serotonin or some other hormone, I was loving it.

Why Between Green and Gray?
I got the title from a song by Nickel Creek which is one of my favorite groups (sadly, they recently disbanded to follow solo careers) . The singer sings about how everyone sees green around him while all he sees is gray. I also think it implies that green is a symbol for new, fresh, and young while gray is old, mature and experienced--hmmm, kinda like my life right now!

Success!
Finally, my own blog! Now that I've arrived, I don't know what to say-writer's block already, woohoo. My only thoughts are that I've been a big consumer of blogs for so long, I thought it was finally time to do some contributing, aside from the stray comment or two I leave on other sites. I don't know how often I'll post. I guess I'll see what happens.
